Voor Joost zich achter de draaitafels zet komt The Arch hun nieuwe plaat "Sanctuary Rat" aan ons voorstellen.

The Arch was founded in the summer of 1986 in Breendonk, Belgium. Four friends in love with new wave and dark romance quickly drew the attention of the label Body records (Dirk Ivens) and later Anything But Records and Play It Again Sam. Under Ludo Camberlin, well-known producer of The Neon Judgement and The Weathermen, the first album 'As Quiet As' was released in 1987, which included the first underground hit 'Babsi ist Tot'. With Ribdancer, a song that was released three years later, The Arch gained fame around the world. This was the starting point for tours in Belgium, Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria, UK, France, Poland, The Netherlands, Hungary and Yugoslavia. Their original sound is a combination of solid guitar parts and electronics on pumping beats, with a layer of dark melancholy. They gained a strong live reputation as support act of Peter Murphy(Bauhaus), The Mission, Clan Of Xymox, The Neon Judgement, Spear Of Destiny, The Chameleon Vox, among others. With also many passages at festivals such as WGT, W-fest, BIM, Dark Malta, New Waves Day, NCN, M'era Luna and a headlining spot at Sinnersday 2021. After 13 releases, The Arch launched its seventh full album " Sanctuary Rat" in autumn 2023 on ‘Dryland Records’ label (Goethes Erben).
